The International Series kicks off its 2026 season at Caledonian Golf Club in Chiba, Japan, from April 2-5. This US$2 million event launches the Rankings race for LIV Golf League spots in 2027, building on its successful 2025 debut.
Nestled near Tokyo amid rolling hills and woodlands, Caledonian demands precision, smart course management, and patience. LIV Golf's Ripper GC member Lucas Herbert won last year by five shots, showcasing disciplined play.
The tournament merges Japan's golf heritage with top talent from LIV Golf, the Asian Tour, and local stars. Japan shone in 2025, with Kazuki Higa claiming the Asian Tour Order of Merit and Yosuke Asaji earning a LIV card as Rankings runner-up; Yuta Sugiura and Higa also placed 10th and 16th.
Rahul Singh, Head of The International Series, highlighted its growth: “Opening in Japan underscores our global role, offering pathways via meaningful events and elite fields on top venues.”
Asian Tour Commissioner Cho Minn Thant added: “Caledonian is a player favorite. This start sets an exciting tone, providing Asian talent a shot at majors and LIV Golf.”
The 2026 Series spans nine countries to scout new stars. Tickets go on sale early February or – contact Luxury Golf Tours to book for the Vietnam event May 14-17.
